Gretchen researches the banksters

Gretchen Morgenson is a great business writer that actually looks at the faults and mistakes of the workings and dealings of insiders at Wall Street. In her book "reckless Endangerment" she looks at the actions of ambitious traders and other corporate types that help bring and bleed the economy. The scandals Gretchen exposes is just the tip of the financial iceberg that allowed these tough economic times to develop as the leaders of these financial giants and corporations have conspired to tap the wealth everywhere and funnel it into their own pockets and this book goes a long way explaining these practices. Much of this book focuses on Fannie Mae and the mortgage fraud that helped destroy the biggest investment for most people in the home. Gretchen does a good jo\b highlighting the major players of the financial crisis. This woman is a hero and has been added to our list.  She is showing her years and while not as hot as a Helanie Olen or Melanie Warner Gretchen is right up there with the great progressive woman writers of our time. This book is mainly for those who want a complete researched listing of many people who were responsible for the meltdown in the mortgage industry a few years and unless you really have an interest in this topic then this book is not for you.  scroundals
