Dan Carlin paranoid about holocaust war with Russia

  Andy Cruz

The Russian excursion into Ukraine brought back memories of the Cold War and the fact that we were always one button away from mutual destruction. Young people have no comprehension the fear their elders had of war with the Soviets and that this fear likely lead to the long status quo between the two nations for such a long period of time. Dan Carlin is one of these baby boomers that remember the cold war elders and on his last two podcasts he has held this threat of battle with Russia as his topic of his "common Sense" podcast. Carlin is freaked out that the Cold War is back and that a nuclear war is very possible this time around. He looks at Americas pledges to basically all the countries that are in Russia's backyard and fears that we may actually cause a major Third World War if Russia attacks and wants a tiny Latvia. His fear is not without basis and the United States showed its willingness to start a major war with a oil sheikdom about the size of little Latvia. Carlin thinks five hundred million people would be killed in a World War III that will break out soon if Russia decides to just take the rest of Ukraine. Carlin is in the same class of folks that didn't want to put up any resistance to tyrants in the past when they did the same thing to Poland. It then struck to me that there are just some people not willing to fight for the freedoms they claim to hold so important. Carlin often does history shows and often his admiration for the ferocious of the Mongols and other brutal groups seemed to be revealed through his hardcore history podcast. What made the Mongols so powerful was there was no group willing to come to the defense of the weaker people who often the time were on the radar of these tyrants in world history. Dan Carlin may not think Americans think that Latvia and Ukraine are worth fighting a World War but there are many others who will seek to address these pledges we have these countries. A country not willing to pledge by their promises of defense is not one to be proud of and if we finally have to fight these fucking corrupt inept Russians then let's be willing. The Dan Carlin's out there just have to get use to the idea that bigger countries will not be able to just expand their borders on a whim and a hostile history Judith their neighbors has an excuse.  Dan Carlin's Hardcore History Podcast by Dan CarlinThey will not with a United States and world activists out there willing to stand for a cause for weakened people and call out the useless evil undemocratic tyrants like that little shit Vladamir Putin. I guess I can also see why Dan would admire the strength of a Vladamir Putin. He kinda looks like him.
