Jared Diamond book collapse pretty awsome

Jared Diamond is an excellent author and his book "Collapse" illustrates how societies have collapsed in the past. He believes this nation is set for a collapse as well and we can learn from some of the past societies in the past that overused their resources and their ability to sustain a civilization. His example of the people of Easter island is particularly interesting as a society that fell apart using up their limited supply more quickly than it could sustain itself. This book is a dire warning and Mr Diamond is an expert of native cultures with another book upcoming examining the successes of remote villages and tribes throughout the world. This is one of the best books talking about the eventual collapse of the world as we know it and the Western capitalist system as we know it. Mr Diamond's take of the fall of Aztec and other empires is very relevant today as we reside in the declining American empire and many of the same problems we are facing today were problems of past civilizations. Jared Diamond is one of the preeminent collapse experts of the world today and at times actually seems to look forward to the collapse of the West. We know we are looking forward to it as well.
