Little Timmy Hopkins loved the Cubbies. His favorite player was that Phil Caveretta and this was about a couple of decades before that fool Ron Santo would be clicking his heals like a cocky ass after victories. Harry Carey was just a young broadcaster in St Louis and the image of sporting wear was unheard. This was even many years before yours truly had started belting home runs all over this ball park.
Timmy's daddy was a screen printer and made a little Cub shirt for his sons birthday. He too
liked baseball and showed little Timmy the great aspects of the game. he took little Timmy and his friends to a spring baseball game some many moons ago. It was about seventy degrees
and Timmy got a little warm. At approximately 2:10 pm Timmy unbuttoned his shirt and exposed his Chicago Cub T shirt marking it a historical event. it was the first time a fan had shown his love of the Cubs with his own shirt. He opened the flood gates to everyone as the marketing department noticed little Timmy Hopkin's ideas as a big money making opportunity in baseball. Half a century later fans like that homeless negro Ronnie "Woo Woo" Wickers would wear an actual uniform to the game. other idiots like Captain cub would 
make up their own ideas and fandom has Timmy to thank. This proud, brave little boy showed Cub fans 
that there were new ways to express your love for this team. of course, in his day the Chicago Cubs had actually been in many World Series games in Timmy's decade and the one before. Whenever you buy a sports t shirt you have Timmy Hopkins and his dad to thank for it.
