Tom Hanks and Robert Redford are real old actors these days and it is surprising to see these legends of Hollywood come out with a movie this past month. Both are ocean and boat type movies as hanks character adversaries are Somali pirates and Redford's nemesis is mother nature. This really surprised me to see Robert Redford come out with a movie and hopefully this is his last one. While still in good shape Robert looks like a Halloween decoration and really needs to just enjoy the golden years. There are many younger actors that could of played this role and it is not surprising to see these old men still get leading roles while female actresses of that generation had to retire years ago from the silver screen. Women actors don't have a chance for many roles when their hair color turns silver. Robert looks so old in this movie he looks like one of those pale apes in the planet of the apes movies. Pathetic.
As far as Tom Hanks movie it was good to see some new younger ethnic actors get some screen time but of course they played the villains and had to play kidnapping pirates. Tom Hanks looked pretty old too and has made enough money in Hollywood where he doesn't have to keep preventing others from having good roles. Sometimes it appears these older actors are just so greedy they don't want to give up any limelight. As far as my movie reviews, well I will not see this old man Redford movie where he hardly speaks. That would just be stupid. As far as that Tom hanks movie goes it was all right and you do get a good perspective of root causes of modern day piracy and how the worlds inequality puts some people in a desperate situation for making a livelihood in today's brutal world. The pirates are the true heroes and coolness in this movie and Tom hanks is just some sniveling crybaby at the end.
