Mr Tyson is a smart man and realizes that man ain't going anywhere is the cosmos and the dreams of men like him and others of exploring Pluto and other space bodies will never fly. Mr Tyson through the book though seems to think that if we invested more in science though that we can see that great leap he brings up often in his writings from the Wright brothers and Kitty Hawk to Sputnik. Today's space race are these venture capitalists who seem to be hoping for space resident escapes for the ultra wealthy in case of domestic emergencies down on earth. Rich folks who waste venture capital money on space shit like that fuck Elon Musk know there will be a day when folks on earth refuse to pay for the silly space adventures of rich geeks that want to make a name for themselves. As Mr Tyson Degrasse says often in his books and Star Talk Podcasts that only Astronauts are celebrities people will line up to witness and worship not knowing their fucking name. Space is obviously an inhospitable place for living carbon life and throwing money to colonize robots and throw space junk out to the cosmos while we are like 118 trillion in debt is no solution to improving America's top status among nations as scientists like Tyson would have you believe. Mr Tyson is a smart man and I enjoy his books and podcasts. However his plans and hopes for gaining knowledge to finding out how cold the ice on Europa is or testing to see how dirty the soil is on Mars does nothing for the problems we face on Earth destroying the only habit we will ever have as a species.
The space chronicles of Neil Degrasse Tyson
America's space program has declined and this is the topic of "Space Chronicles" a book of a collection of shirt writings and interviews of Neil Degrasse Tyson. This is a great book to add to the collection for his fans and shows many tweets fromMr Tyson through twitter over the years. Short chapters about space and America's space program gives the reader a sense of disappointment from Mr Tyson on how America has fallen behind other countries in promoting and graduating our young people to learn science. Many people don't realize how exploring the space frontier has benefited many aspects of modern life and he admits that war is the main attraction to why we invested so much in NASA and the space program. No where though in this book does Mr Tyson address the real issue of why the space program had t be abruptly stopped unfulfilling his dream of man and robot working together on foreign planets to help make a small elite even further rich and in the stratosphere away from regular folks. There are not enough god dam resources and there are too many people to waste fuel for rockets instead of for food. Mr Degrasse Tyson seems to think along with fantasy football type space capitalists that we can drag a asteroid near Earth to mine it and bring down the price of Gold and Iron. Heck if the asteroid floats a little and off its orbit towards Earth so be it. Corporations don't have a history of causing environment catastrophes and we could survive an asteroid smash.
