Social critic criticism...the end of zoos

Jake Glass

People who visit zoos usually claim to be animal lover and want to watch animals in locked up situations. These idiots don't realize how many animals die in captivity from sickness from neglected zoo care. Zoo animals need to be in their natural habitat to act more naturally and be allowed to roam as they were intended and the people who say we need to keep these animals locked up for educational reasons are utterly insane. Costa Rica has shut down its two public zoos and released the animals and much of the rest of the world that still holds the charade of operating public zoos for the jocular needs of rude uninformed people needs to come to an end. The most grotesque act of animals in captivity is the need of some wealthy people to have their own private zoos just for the fact that they can afford to hold big game predators in captivity. These zoos have been relatively unregulated and allowed for a number of years and government needs to go after these rich people who have hoarding in their possession a large number of exotic pets they do not need to be holding in cages. People who love to frequent zoos around this world really need to examine their priorities and ask themselves if their need for entertainment of this kind outweighs the disastrous effects that these animals have to put up not being able to be free as Mother Nature intended for all of Earths creatures. Zoos are the most pathetic institution in the public sphere and the quicker they are eradicated and erased from the human scene the better worldview will be shared on how humanity treats its fellow living neighbors.
