Dr Richard Wolff and Thomas Hartmann's RT program as they discussed why Ukraine looked at the Wes after yeas of economic ruin under Russia. They discussed why Ukraine might look at the Western institutions for economic improvement ignoring Greece,Spain, Ireland and other failures of Western capitalism. They discussed Ukraine already being ruined by oligarchs and why the people don't rise up against their own internal leaders to demand change instead of wanting to join the already corrupt crony capitalist EU.
Hartmann and Wolff discussed that revolutions occur when peoples reactions to chances of improvement being denied blows up Ito open revolt and this partially happened in Ukraine as the people rose in response to poverty. Ukraine's belief though that somehow aligning themselves with Neo- liberalist Western capitalism that has already decided to move its capital to pars of Asia and Abandon Europe and America. Richard Wolff explained that there are Ukraines already in America. Areas like Cleveland,Detroit,Kansas City and many more has already been abandoned by the capitalists class that does more for cities in China than many if the late great cities in the United States that it has long since crushed economically and spiritually.
