The desperation of Sears

Tony Miselli
Corporate manipulation and desperation to maintain survival knows no depths and the Sears Corporations decision last week was another splendiferous example. Sears has been a struggling retailer that only attracts old suburbanites and has been losing cash for years with something like nineteen straight quarters with declining revenues.
They came up with an idea to lease these stores with a new created company to themselves and this unbelievable move was rewarded with a stock price increase. Now lets get this clear that Sears will have to create a whole new company to lease it to itself so it can continue to hold and operate these senseless brick and mortar stores that no one goes to anymore. Sears said it would get substantial proceeds from the sale but what it didn't say was that any and all of these sales would be purchased from dimwitted idiots. Billionaire hedge fund investor Edward Lampert is in control of both Sears and KMart and continues to slash costs and keeps this pathetic institution around and find new ways to use this company to snooker other investors, shareholders, and workers I stead of just letting this company to go forward I to the great abyss retail in  the sky where Montgomery Ward and others wait for it. Sears and others that try to keep it and KMart around in this day of age are a freaking joke
