The coming world disorder of less American air bombing of foreign lands

  Arnold Buckley
America is a nation that is built of fear and it always has to have some foreign menace to justify its exorbitant spending on military hardware. There are many foreign affair writers that help to promote this spurious stupid idea and one of the men who promotes this idea of a coming world disorder is a jackass writer named Bret Stephens. He wrote some book called "
America In Retreat" has he suggests that the isolation movement and those demanding a cut in military budget threatens world stability. Stephan's is a big supporter of Pax Americana where English language free market global capitalism is the supreme law of all lands. This is a man who justifies all our military involvements and we would still be fighting in Vietnam is dweebs like this jackass had his way. What else would you expect though from a writer who is the deputy editor of the newspaper known as the Wall Street Journal. Stephan's complains that even prominent members of his hawkish war political the
Republican party are talking about Americas retreat and less dominating foreign policy on other nations. This is an author that just doesn't get it that this country can be spending its wealth better than having over a hundred bases worldwide to protect the interests of our free loading allies that don't want to maintain their own militarized for border protections. The declining that Stephan's worries about wasn't really declining in the 1880s when America concentrated primarily within affairs within its own borders and one machines it was men like Stephan's that pushed for Japan's open door policy by gunboat. This is a dude that thinks we have an inherited right to dictate. This author plays out so many international what if scenarios that his fear of a day where A,Erica has no control over border incidents 3000 miles away becomes so disheartenating that I wonder how he kept his hand still to type up this book. Going through this book one has to feel sorry for a man like Bret Stephan's whose fear of a day when America can't bomb wedding parties and schools in foreign lands under the justification of global order will make it more difficult for him to look at the flag outside his window knowing Pax America is over

  1. I totally agree with the above. Indeed, I posed a question to Stephens at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, specifically regarding the moral premise- or lack of- behind the reasoning of His Hawkishness.
Not only I was physically assaulted afterwards, but my membershipe with Chicago Council was terminated.
So much for freedom of speech in Pax Americana
