Author Phillip Thomas Tucker is a history revisionist who wrote a disgusting piece basically calling the whole Alamo battle as a myth as his analysis hundreds of years later somehow word of fact because he decrees it. This monkey wrote a book called "Exodus From The Alamo" where he questions the bravery of the defenders of the Alamo and foolishly claims most were killed fleeing trying to break away and run back to nocadoches . This idiot really thinks that they thought they had a chance to flee to safety hundreds of miles to the safety of East Texas. Tucker basically says that the Anglo-Celts were so racist and arrogant that they thought they had nothing to fear from the Mexican army and is why they barricaded themselves in the Alamo in present day San Antonio.
Tucker overinflated the role of slavery into making the Anglo-Celts rebel against Texas and this is because he clearly wants the narrative throughout his writings that Anglo-Celts were evil and that the Mexican tyrant and dictator Santa Nana and Mexico were the forces of freedom as they were butchering rebels all over Mexico from the Yucatan to Zacaretes. It should not be surprising that a modern revisionists would over exaggerate racial attitudes of Texians into deciding that it was appropriate to rebel against a government that destroyed the Mexican constitution of 1824 and wanted to rule with a iron fist and corrupt system. Some of the claims Tucker puts out have no facial basis such as that Mexico's population was over ten percent black at this time of the Alamo insurrection. His terminology of calling All White Texans as Anglo- Celts is also bizarre as many people came from all over Europe for opportunities in Texas and to make a better life for themselves not unlike the mass migration of people from the third world into the first world. If you believe in anything Tucker says in this worthless book you would believe that the three stooges was a reality program. Tucker calls it a folly and totally insane for the few defenders to decide to stay in the Alamo although he states expectations were that a large relief force would make their way from the East consisting of both US volunteers and other Texians. So basically how are they stupid to decide to hold o to this key position perhaps the most important location within three hundred miles of Texas territory that they were about to defend. Tucker just doesn't seem to get what the demographics were for Texas and who was actually the invaders coming from many hundreds of more miles away to keep a butcher like Santa Anna in power. Tucker does a good job disparaging these patriots throughout the book as if somehow he was a witness to this battle and knows more that what was recorded and established. Every quote and account he uses seems to be from the Mexican army back then who would have reason to downplay the humiliating losses they encountered against this ragtag untrained army of sharpshooters who took on and stood up to one of the most trained armies in the world. Hacker does this because he is a piece of shit whose own opinions of the Texas revolution and the Alamo are tainted with modern day biases on race and slavery. He basically takes this whole book to bash longtime American heroes and calls them losers and cowards as his anger of their sacrifice in inspiring Texians after on in the revolt destroying the Mexican army at San Jacinto and sending the invaders back down South has infuriated him likely a lifetime.
