Fire burns down Windy City produce in Chicago as developers eye condos

Gerald Jasper
Small grocery independent stores are becoming more and more rare as the giant conglomerates want to destroy any vestiges of smaller grocery shopping competitors. I have always said that smaller grocery stores are way better experience than the mindless dizzying affects of big box stores and the other day I was angered about the burning of Windy City produce near Milwaukee and Pulaski near Irving Park road. it is not that I ever went shopping at this grocery store but its independent streak and size are much preferable in my mind than the hideous large grocery stores you will find in the suburbs of Milwaukee and Chicago.
That village leaders would think that people prefer these huge grocery stores with land more taken up by parking lots than vegetable stands is a complete aspersion of the public and this suspicious fire of Windy City produce is likely set from those who prefer the bigger model and bigger profits of grocery shopping today. This is a complete act of rubbing out the alternative model and the place of smaller grocers that has been a consistent fact of life in suburban America and increasingly into the urban centers of modern America. The police are still investigating the cause of this extra alarm fire and this will go away quickly in the news undoubtedly the location will soon arise with ugly three flat story condos that only the real wealthy can afford to invest. No questions will be asked and insurance will likely cover the ruins of the Greek busniness owner of this grocer who ran the business for some twenty eight years. This fire is bullshit man and very suspicious and if there are condos there in a few years causing this intersection looking ugly then we will now why there was a late night fire one night on a really moony night.
