Steve Fraser describes why we have acquiescene to the fat cats
Alex Mousolopolous
Americans have acquiescence power to a small elite class that controls this nation and feeds the forces keeping the system thriving for a long time and author Steve Fraser examines this tale in his book entitled "The Age of Acquiescence" and wonders how we as a nation have been duped by these forces. This was once a nation that organized against political, economic, social privileges and in the half last century all resistance to this domination has subsided. Fraser gives a historical account of the rise of capitalism and the fight against it by previous generations that watched the growth of plutocrats with alarm and apprehension as they realized the greater the growth of the upper classes likely meant doom to their standard of living. Television is the undermining cause I believe of why we have acquiescence control so much and Fraser really doesn't dwell into this possibility. The rich and powerful have destroyed communities and the stable jobs that provided stable families to develop and instead nowdays lambast fathers for not providing their children.
No where do these idiots suggest how this can be done without incomes to these men who are given no support or respect by the mother of their children because of their lower status in society. Deindustrialization has been an elaborate plan to both undermine their political enemies at home while establishing elite classes overseas whose loyalties will be with class instead of their nation. Fraser goes into the accumulation of debt by Americans who want to give themselves the illusion that they are doing better than they are and are better than the perceived masses lower on the economic ladder without access to acculturated debt and loans. Americans have been seduced by glamour of celebrity worship which is all over the printed media and television accepting the divine right of those at the top with control and continued abuse of the system and don't say a peep until their home becomes foreclosed and they are threatened with eviction. This is a country that profits from fear and the destruction of communities enabling those with the means to move and become wealthier with their McMansions and further sprawling communities away from the everyday folks whose resistance has been placated by misinformation and deceit of those with control of the airwaves and control of religious corrupt institutions whose main purpose these days is serving the money masters instead of the holy masters. This is a great book that shows how the elites have hijacked the system to serve only their economic issues and increase their advantages in life.
