Mohammed Morsi sentanced to death for being an elected spy
Ali Muhammad
The Egyptian army court has sentenced the ousted president Morsi to death for his part in a mass jailbreak in 2011. Basically the army decided to hand down the death sentence to this man for winning a free election the first in this African nations history and the victory by the Muslim brotherhood shocked Israel and the world. Mohamed Morsi served barely a year before the United States
The verdict, by judge Shaaban el-Shami, was announced on Saturday in a Cairo court where Morsi was also facing charges of espionage. As is customary in passing capital punishment, the death sentence on Morsi and more than 100 others will be referred to the country’s top Muslim theologian, or mufti, for his non-binding opinion. a recent article pointed out that since his ouster and crackdown on religious folks in Egypt over two thousand and five hundred people have been killed and this current repression is similar to what was seen in Iran in the seventies as the Shah desperately hung on to power. The shahs own repressive police eventually fueled growth into opposition parties based on extreme religious opposition which thus toppled the regime and continued the spiral of an undemocratic process. The military overthrew Morsi in July 2013 following days of mass protests by Egyptians angered by his divisive policies. Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi, who had been appointed military chief by Morsi, led his ouster, and was elected nearly a year ago in a vote boycotted by the Islamist opposition in an election that was hardly democratic. The current government crackdown in Egypt can only lead to the same thing and the dissolution of these Islamic states might just be what international resource extractors profiteers and the state of Israel wants to see. The fact that Egyptian courts and military would get so cocky to actually trial this guy and give him the death penalty says much of the depravity of the west into really destroying any steam to the democratic process that was gaining in this country after years of corrupt dictatorial rule serving America. why human rights groups and others are not making this guy out to be a martyr has much to do with the suspicious nature we have made muslims out to be not only here but around the world. Egypt is a country that is being played out as a sunni version of Iran and somewhere we have seen all of this before.
