Star is a duck of some local celebrity as its owner insists on bringing it into bars as the coot seeks attention for hiself and his foul pet. Star is a pet duck of local renown in Chulmleigh, Devon, because he’s fond of pub crawling with his owner, Barrie Hayman. Star even has his own stool at his favorite pub, The Old Courthouse Inn and one day the ditty bird got loaded and picked a fight with Haymans other pet he is somehow allowed to bring into these pubs. Is it any wonder that the English Pub scene is dying and these newer immigrants are not assimilating to this middle-aged madness?
This Duck in the Old Courthouse Inn has pissed many patrons off as it scoots over to them often claiming more than one spot through its visit.The Duck had to be rushed to the vet as it had its bill and ego bruised from the attack of the four-legged mammal and had to be tested for rabies and other shots. It I interesting to see this case being a duck and not a parrot or parakeet which would be more interesting as these birds could gain more bar vulgar drunk vocabulary to go with this local fame. Whi in this day of age actually has a duck as a pet and tags it along to bars and pubs
