Another mass shooting at a college many hundreds of miles away from a real city is the predicament of many of these community colleges and the poor students who attend. In rural Rosebud and Umpaqua Community college a bored and insane loner walked into a classroom and decided to put this miserable town in the national news for a few days. Christopher mercer-harper came to rosebud in rural Oregon without the important structural aids for the mentally disabled that he received while in California. a shooting like this would never occur in an ivy league institution and in fact from a quick look at mass college shootings almost all of them are in way isolated and boring areas with little prospects for the graduates of these schools.
This small and isolated religious conservative place evidently had a impact on this young man who had a major sense of alienation from day one when he had to relocate here from Torrence, California and in a way many of these isolated loser areas have themselves to blame for the mass shootings of their kids and young adults who have no sense of future or hope in their communities. This shooting should be of no surprise as there are so many young men with alienation within their own nation. When one sees how much money is devoted to a few major cities in the economy and little chance of improvements in rust belt areas and long ago timber places there is an increased chance of these acts occurring in these places. students at Umpqua 
Community College must feel like losers in society and life whenever they watch TV or the action at major state schools which see little of these mass shootings all over America. many of these people in these areas are drawn to hunting and guns as there is little other adventure or social opportunities for them to dwell in these very small places that are about as far as cosmopolitan as you will find anywhere on earth. until there are improvements in these areas where many Americans find themselves financially stuck in an dead end land with little chance of getting out or better there will be more mass shootings by individuals like this Mercer-harper guy.
