Simon Head gives a heads up o dangers of relying on machines and masters like Jeff Bezos
Gino Frobel
Simon head is a writer and academic concerned about the power the corporate world gives to computers and automation of the workplace. Instead of progressing humanity is getting dumbed down by the computer age innovation that has basically whittled down human ingenuity and skills. His book called "Mindless" is an excellent read and the chapter on wal-mart and Amazon and their workplace needs to be known by more people. The dominance of database culture by the corporatists and the role of fostering more income inequality is the basis of this great book where Mr. Head bemoans a triumph of computer-led systems thinking and so-called “scientific management.” The management of workers at places such as Amazon and Wal-mart where the regime of workplace pressure to make targets set by computer algorithms shows the displaceable objects workers have become for these giant companies. A new workplace oppressive system attempts to pretty much become a race to the bottom among these companies where eventually people become slaves to the system no different that galley slaves of midevil time in order so Jeff Bezon and lesser management can live like nobility. A person like Jeff Bezos and his workplace policy needs to be seen as evil because it is so medieval and attempts to turn the clock so far back into the brutal past and the role and caste system that was feudal society in Europe. The business classes and press love aman like this evil genius and is why the praise his methods and the Amazon Stratagem as they pay homage to rich kings as Bezos so he can further help fund the propaganda business presses. Jeff Bezos is a pyscopath and even resembles the Dr Evil characters of so many movies and superhero comics of the past and his method of running a business is perhaps the modern version of human cruelty one can find in todays world. The Information technology revolution has only benefited a few evil genius who want to make humans into the same machines that so handsomely created profits for people like Dr Bezos.
