The Philippines has just elected perhaps the biggest quake to be president until the American election this fall. The former mayor of incredible cosmopolitan Devao City by the name of Rodrigo Duterte is now the fucking president of the Philippines. This is a guy who said he would jet ski to the south China see standing up to China for disputed land. This is one of the worse individuals this struggling Asian country could ever elect and it shows how this country is declining in their ability to elect responsible representative government. Instead they are electing these strict loud-mouths as the Philippines moves more and more to the extreme religious right. This guy can be a valuable ally against the growing power of China's state capitalist Asian new order or his big mouth could get the country more isolates as it is geographically from the rest of the rock called Earth.
The Philippines and their people are disillusioned folks having their country over-run by Chinese neo-liberals who consider the Filipinos peasants in their own country. the tough campaign rhetoric to kill criminals and override Congress if lead to a landslide victory for this future dictator as the Philippines seem eager in electing someone who will bring them back to the days of Ferdinand Marcos. Duterte's his sometimes crude or vulgar language may have alarmed the Filipino elites, but it hypnotized the masses of marginalized Filipinos who voted for the “Mayor” in droves. He has some extreme tough talk on ending corruption and getting tough on criminals by personally executing them. Indeed while he was mayor many criminals were killed in the streets as rumors of a government sponsored death squads seems likely with a psychotic ruler as this man in politics who doesn't believe teen petty criminal can be cured and deserve death.. This man wants to totally change Filipino society and he scares the crap out of the current elites he seeks to replace in this country which is double the size of Canada and Brita

The Philippines with all of its valuable people resources should be more than poor as it is but these people have a problem electing good leaders and instead vote for quacks, clowns, and stooges who loot the shit out of the country and prevent it from joining the other economic tigers in the region. Duterte is right in saying the globalized order wants world migrants such as Philippines who can migrate and have their labor easy to export and abused from such various places as North America to Middle East. This guy could also change American Philippine relationships and be the Filipino equivalent of Hugo Chavez taking on big American money interests long having this country and elites in its tentacles.
