There was a recent news story in mainstream corporate media about Libya's costly battle to oust the Islamic State out of Sirte. The western press hailed the victory of the US Backed militia in this costal out rich city as anticipation of more oil coming onto the market and ore auto mobiles running on cheaper oil has everyone looking forward to greener hotter days. The expansionist plans of the Islamic State in brining their caliphate looks dimmer and dimmer but the real cost of this battle are the average citizens of Libya who will see little progress and improvements as all of the money will come in to repair the fields. This cost has be endemic to America's budget as yet once again it found its way into another lands war just so their part of the world can keep burning fossil fuels with their big trucks for daily transportation. How much longer and how many wars does the industrial war think they can keep fighting around the world for this precious resource. ISIS will just go into the deserts and huddle up near by waiting for next opportunities to strike what ever fragile government emerges in this Maghreb state. Without the aid of US airstrikes the Islamic State would of fully been in control of the oil and resources of this area.
The domestic terrorists will continue their campaign such as car bombs ,targeted assassinations, and infrastructure sabotage ete etc. The draw of the oil wealth is the downfall of this region where you have guys like Mohammed Baluhama dodging and covering and setting up shots like some Texas teenagers playing paintball all because the quest for power in the area is mainly dependent on where China and Europe buy their natural gas and oil. This is a deliberate plan by the resource extractor profiteers in getting the worlds poor to kill one another off so displacement and eventual market monopoly and sale of this resource becomes a sad reality for the planet.
