Chinese authorities intervened in Hong Kong in order to squash the growing independence movement of this fabulous city-state. Beijing called the growing protests and political dispute as a danger to national security and having this island back from Great Britain has been nothing but trouble. Thousands of people marched in downtown Hong Kong to voice their anger at the Chinese state and the cheap Chinese chicken shacks it wants to be spread in place of the luxury sushi places. the chances of Hong Kong ever being allowed independence by the Chinese state is about as likely as Tasmania becoming the fifty first state of the United States Many residents raised concerns for this an the growing threat of individual rights ,relative freedoms, and free expression. obviously the people of Hong Kong have been living under British rule for a long time. The use of umbrellas in these protests is both neurotic and eccentric and one must wonder if all of these protests around the world are just mainly popping up because knowledge of the news media reporting and occupation on the grounds makes some of thee protest f9lks feel like rock stars. Protestors grabbed their umbrellas and quickly tried to deter the spraying of chemicals to hurt their eyes as police moved in force to break up these camps and illegal centers of planning and protest. This is China after all and the helmeted-police force was out in strength to remind the Hong Kong residents that they are outnumbered 400 to 1 and have been living a privileged spoiled life of luxury for way too often and it could be coming to an end.
