Jared Diamond says horses are easier to domesticate than Rhinos

Dimitri Diamond
Jared Diamond came to Brown University recently and gave a talk of historical inequalities and talked about how plant and animal domestication was easier in the Eurasian steppes than the North-South development of the Americas and Africa. professor Diamond blamed this and geography and difficulty of spreading ideas in certain climates  as common climate facilitated the spread of agricultural methods and technology throughout the continent. JIn his talk, Jared Diamond drew on his research on environmental determinism and his Pulitzer-winning work, “Guns, Germs and Steel.”Jared diamond has spent a lifetime of study and write exploring this idea and is celebrated of such with a study stream of collegiate tours to promote this understanding. Diamond said that Africans were cursed to have the larger ig game animals that could never be domesticated or breeded to preference like the people of the Eurasian steppes have been able to use domestication to build up their economies, lifestyle, and armies through the centuries.Image result for masai tribesmen cattle Of course I have always stated that the people of the steppes would of found a way to domesticate the zebras and the rhino using some human ingenuity that obviously the people on the dark continent were lacking in quality. Jared Diamond and others in the academic world just don't want to admit this in their talks about why history unfolded in different ways on different continents for the last 13,000 years and a people so stuck in barbarianism and tribal ritual ways were never ever going to create a sustaining and massive empire for long.Diamond’s talk reinforced  his ideas first presented in his book, offering reasons for the different development of societies. His argument centered on two variables: the uneven distribution of domesticated animals and plants across the globe and the advantageous geography of certain continents. There have always been animals available for domestication in Africa and the continent was blessed with wildlife and natural resources that these warring tribes never took advantage for themselves and they would stayed and remained in their primitive ways for not colonialization and the European coming to set up industry. the idea that east-west orientation” of the Eurasian continent was a vital to its quick development aand played an advantage for the peoples compared to the North-South orientation is laughable and just something used and repeated to explain inequities of development of human society.
