Mark Steyn often fills in for Rush Limbaugh and gets in ore heated debates with callers as he likely doesn't have the same notorious call screening wok done as rush Limbaugh demands. A caller named jerry pretty much proved Steyn wants a dictator and his admiration for Vladimir Putin and American support for strongmen in the past was a clear illustration of this and is supported by the right-wing nut job author and professional lecturer. Steyn said these strongmen are important for stability in the region and is preferable to the democratic process that is often corrupted at top levels of the government and what you have is chaos without these strong leaders. Steyn fails to mention that there is just as much death and destruction and the stability he means is the persistent rule of one family or their crony system.
caller Jerry showed the preference of right-wing demagogues to undemocratic principles and it is the involvement of right-wing capitalist trading companies that have often caused instability throughout the third-world following their independence in a new sort of neo-colonialism. As caller Jerry persisted in exposing this moron on national radio and getting him to admit that he supports third-world dictators if they serve their masters well in Washington and London, Steyn proceeded to lose his usual cool and hang up on the caller using an expletive in his head. pundits twitted to twitter that Steyn just got hammered and rumor had it that the jerry on the other end the other day on the rush Limbaugh show was no other the jerry from Ben an Jerry. I don't know. maybe.
