Garrison Keilor was enjoying an Alaskan getaway in one of his thousands of trips as an elite journalist and writer when police pounded on his door. Garrison couldn't believe it in all his years of traveling and staying at crum motels that someone would be pounding on his door. The police were doing a drug bust in the room next door and was holes up and garrison had to get his panJamess and flee immediately into the cool Alaskan air.
Garrison Keilor is an old coot enjoying an easy gig life of travel, observe, and write and in all his years he never witnessed a major drug bust. Garison Keilor must of went cheap in the room and decided to get a flop motel house ; places long known to harbor drug addicts and migratory losers often in the illegal narcotics industry. The police barreling down on his room was mentioned in a recent article where the tranquil vacation and location of Mr Keilor was interrupted like no other in his life. garrison wondered how he could prepare and read when all this rukus was interrupting his Alaskan vacation and he needed to write columns in corporate publications and what he observed in country diners and western ranches in the big state. The rural backwardness and drug addictions have hit Alaska hard as well and garrison wished to ignore this in his column and the power of Americas drug gangs in setting distribution een to Alaska of al places. Police are finding meth labs all over the country and much of the trade and sometimes manufacture even takes place in these dilapidated motels which Garison thinks are like they were in the fifties and not the new reality of the lack drug trade allowed by politicians in this country.
