A video went viral last week of a sea Lion grabbing a girl and tossing it into the water. Why people would be surprised that this natural predator would think of devouring a child is evidence of their ignorance of the predatory nature of this beast. Sea Lions are ot called Lions for no reason and people often mistake the cuddly dog-like appearance and think the seal species can be mans best friend of the seas. The sea Lion would of made mince meat out of this little girl is dragged into the ater in this Indonesian of Philippines port where the unfortunate young gal was dragged into the waters and a man not jumped immediately to the rescue. Sea Lions mainly eat fish but are more than willignto us their sharp teeth to whatever eat they can get a hold of and this video almost captured the first Seal on human killing ever recorded or reported.
sea Lions are predators evolving and people should always be cautious around these sea beasts and fishing them for fun is not a solution to fulfill your boredom and play with animals. the parents of this girl were in total neglect and should be held accountable for the near devouring and drowning of this girl. this being aia I doubt there are laws agianst feeding Dea Lions and seals but pehraps some regulation should be put into affect in these ports before a sea Lion decides it wants to try something aside from fish all of the time.
