Lavar Ball snickers to himself thinking how Stephan Marbury was selling a fifteen dollar show back a decade ago. Stephan Marbury and his affordable and practical show line may be coming back and the former NBA baller now playing in China once cut up a Nike and his own shoe in order expose the little difference between the two. The for-massive profit sneaker and gym show mark up and industry as to be one of the most egregious acts of capitalism and the high prices of shoe is unacceptable.
At least it should be but the problem is you have a culture in America that is so narcissistic and self-conscious of oneself the idea of paying that much money (much of it in form of debt) for something that cost the company ten dollars doesn't seem to phase the zombie morons one can find gawking at Air Jordans and other rubber and plastic sneakers.
All gym shoes should cost n the figure that a Stephan Marbury is selling his shoes and the reasoning of a Lavar Ball and his son in that a shoe is worth 500 dollars is a figment of absurdity. Nike shoes at 140 dollars is wll a hundred over-priced but one can see the amount of love and need primarily black men place on these items. I was in Milwaukee's Mayfair mall doing research and writing in my beloved barns and Noble and upon a quick stroll of the mall intercourse they actually have a shoe repaint stand so these baller wannabees can get their expensive plastic and rubber shoes painted like a woman does her toe nail. Michael Jordan still wins the equivalent of the power Ball thanks to these jumping jackasses going through hops because Michael Jordan once played the game and has now been retired for two decades. Despite this primarily Negroes go ga ga for a pair of air Jordans and many a thug has killed a fellow thug wishing to skip the mall middleman and purchasing another expensive shoe for the coffers of Nike to give back to a select few athletes in form of advertising money.
Lavar Ball is looking to handsomely profit from his sons who have yet even fucking prove themselves in the league which is another player of the gym shoe mark up absurdity of mall and marketing United States of Advertising. what can you say about people and a sub-group that has no consciousness of giving so much of their money for a simple product that slave -wage labor gives so much profit to a small class of executives and elite ballers at places like Nike and Addidas. As Stephan Marbury points out in his show there is no discrepancy in leather, lace, or rubber between his sneaker and one proposed by Lavar Ball or sold by Nike. Marbury is going at it correctly building a brand and shoe empire of actual affordable shoes and not a product meant to make a marketing empire usually put back to big sports in form of advertising and tribute to the Micheal Jordans and others and putting a financial strain of middle-class and lower-income urban Americans who feel they can't hang their head high in public not to be seen with Jordan or Nike shoes. Shoes today are made of slave wage and are no worth more than ten dollars to produce.
Shoes today are junk and only jug heads get excited purchasing and extorting this product regardless of what they pay and if one thinks about it this is the only product idiots buy that touches a dirty ground all day. How morons find glamour in this I will never know. Shoes today are imported junk and quickly disposable items and not even sturdy products that last time where trained craftsmen took time repairing like old cobbles and boots of the past. Anyone getting a hard one for sneakers or gym shoes have misplaced priorities and are easily manipulated by the for-profit corporate slave masters of today and i wonder how many of these blacks would get excited for expensive Jordan shoes if they had to slave-wage this occupation and create this product and get paid for pennies on the dollar as women and workers in Asia.
