Tim Rickard's Brewster Rockit comic strip is struggling and form all appearances it is headed into a Calvin and Hobbes snowman character comic strip. Brewster is visiting the planet of the snowman and this is another example of Tim Rickards unable to dwell and come up with any interplanetary uniqueness and vision and again he uses Earth objects to orbit his writings in his award-losing comic strip.
Now if I wrote a comic strip about space travel and intergalactic comedy I would try my best to come up with planets and creature unique to the human consciousness and creativity but again Tim Rickards uses something simple. One could imagine he had trouble thinking of some ideas and he looked out his window to come up with something. Perhaps he looked at old Peanuts strips or Bill Watersons many Calvin and Hobbes snowman comic strips for inspiration to the crap and story line he has drwn this week and which is further evidence
Everything Tim Rickards and his space cadets run into is something one can associate and find on Earth. whether its the donut people or the Cat aliens Mr Rickards definitely lacks imagination and his lack of originality ruins what can be at times a funny strip. This guys comic strip should have incredibly easy and unique story lines and maybe he doesn't know it but the snowman thing is old and has been done in the annuals of comic beat writing.
