Alexis Tspiras getting a headache talking Macedonia name drama

Alex Mousolopolous
Greeks are really into weird names and are pretty proud of a culture that died out many many centuries ago. Recently Macedonia took down a statue of Alexander the Great at the intentional airport in Skopja (Sic) and the continuing Greek drama over use and recognition of the term Macedonia  is silly . There are some thirty major cities called Alexandria in nations across the region and one must wonder if the geriatric Greek population cares about this.
Greece has more pressing issues to be concerned of such as why the young must leave the nation to have financial work opportunities and no doubt Greek Prime Minster Alexis Tspiras is tired of talking and having to discuss whether a Northern neighbor can use the term Macedonia. Things must really be boring in modern Greece thanks to the economic crisis the spiraling country seems to be in perpetual motion thanks to the disastrous decision to join the European Union some two decades ago. Greeks risked the chance of losing all their names through this moronic choice.
The people in Macedonia are Macedonians and if they wanted to call themselves Martians they have the right. the lands of Alexander are so close and the name Macedonia is synonymous in the region and asking people not to use the name is like telling America not to use the term Springfield for any municipality.  The Greeks massed in major protest against this cultural appropriation of their heritage which their Northern slav neighbors should use the term hogwash.  This topic is not even an issue and if a million Greeks poured out into the streets and that was not fake news then the other ten million Greeks around the world should shake their head in disgust.
