baseball is a lame boring sport that is over-priced and the dull players over-paid and primarily this occurs because the sport is subsidized by free fed money that goes to media and corporations as comp spending on clients. A recent ball game between the Kansas City Royals and the Tamp Bay Sting showed basically what happens when teams and cities do not have the corporate waste to spend
it on local sport ownership teams as in Chicago,New York,Boston, or St Louis. Teams that traditionally draw well do so on free games for business people and there were no business people in a game between Tamp and the Royals last week. In fact, there were no people in general and if left to having to spend their own dime and hard earned money it is doubtful even the Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers would fill half a ballpark. Baseball is a corporate es;port where people use companies comps and executive actions and decisions that it is the be interest in these private companies that men in pajamas get subsidized through purchase of these over-priced tickets thatt then provide outlets for broadcast of commercials through the stadiums PA system. How more ball parks are not as empty as the shit we saw in Kansas City the other week amazes me and only a massive large bank monopoly system of money printing an naming stadiums is saving the American past time . Any system that has such heavy corporate involvement and large salaries for men playing essentially a dull 18 century sport must be one that survives though corruption.
