A homeless guy named Eddie often sneaks into a coffee house in the Fox valley are of Chicagoland to catch a few winks and was warned repeatedly. shortly before the shut down Eddie was again at Arcadium Coffee in St Charles,Illinois and was repeatedly warned and told to leave by the staff and in particular one real nasty barista named Conrad. He told Eddie ghat he had nothing against him but he had to go and quit using the furniture and area of this coffee house for his personal space. Coffee houses across the nation and the world are often inundated with the homeless along with libraries and now with the virtual knockdown many homeless like Eddie have little options to hang out an lose some time.
Eddie was furious and stuck up for his homeless rights as he told Conrad to go to hell and he is not bothering anyone and has a right to sit in a chair for a few dozen or more so minutes. Eddie told the barista that he was not bothering anyone and regardless of if he was sleeping or not that he didn't need to be treated with such disrespect and that Acadium Coffee should help out community members like him and allow him to have a what is otherwise a five dollar Javan roast poured over on a pot. A situation like this shows the problems of indie coffee houses and why a corporate sponsor place like Dunkin Donuts is so much better as it would have left Eddie alone and not been in such a bum rush to bush this bum back out into the streets
