Kyle Perry
Famed seventies and eighties actor Gregory Sierra is dead and for many fans of old shows this was likely a event that had occurred as no one ever saw this guy after a seriors of shows and guest appearances on just about every program back in the day and then he simply disappeared. We are into sure what Gregory Sierra did after 1980 as his career is murky and the great comedic actor had small parts in major programs throughout the seventies and ma y are figuring perhaps he moved or did Spanish language television for years. Gregory Sierra is best remembered playing Julio in Sanford and Son as a Puerto Rican always blasting his music and allowing his goat to terrorize Fred Sanford junkyard and chickens he had to roost in is yard, Julio was a popular character on this huge show before he simply left demanding larger role or a sin off of his own based on his character. Sierra left the show and then appeared as a Sargent in Barney
MIller's command of the 13th prescient where many episodes shows the same police sieges by radical leftists . Sierra's character of Sargent Santos didn't last long as he seemed interested in is casting role and didn't mesh well with the other detectives and he was let go after three years with no explanation for his disappearance form the famed Barney Miller program and barely any people noticed Sierra's miserable appearance and years as cast member totally bringing down the morale of the show and jumping the shark. Sierra also ad the sick habit of putting a pencil to his mouth and nose and then putting it back int he pencil holder spreading virus and germs and then going to Yamana's coffee pt and drinking some really bad coffee that sat there all day and was a running repulsive part of the show. Gregory Sierra is dead at the age of 88.
