The traditional 3rd of July fireworks along the lake from Milwaukee have been canceled because of budget concerns and that they have not been able to have any sponsors willing to pay and

purchase the fireworks. It costs half a million dollars to do a big firework show and increasingly in Milwaukee and sponsorships are lacking and no one wants to pay for these fireworks. Instead Nick Kovac and Milwaukee County supervisor Sheldon Wasserman other Milwaukee County Executives have suggested cloud seeding could be the key and save a lot more money. Milwaukee officials are looking possibly to test a cloud seeding where on July 3rd a very big thunderstorm will occur and this can

replace the firework show that traditionally have occurred along the lakefront during the holidays. This past weekend a test run this saw tons of rain and some very unusual lightning and perhaps this may be the trend is government looks to costs for their pricey 4th of July fireworks.
