Billy Corgan gets his wrestling reality show

  Dave Berkson

The dream of Billy Corgan is getting the reality wrestling show of his fledgling company was finally accomplished last week when AMC announced that they would cover backstage of his resistance wrestling. This is a wrestling company that is lucky to bring more than a hundred people to their once a month matches throughout the Chicago area and one has to wonder why AMC doesn't show Ben Hur anymore these days. There is no need or desire for a reality program of bad wrestlers doing some bad acting and same lame wrestling antics. What really is Billy Corgan trying t do with this platform on television in unknown but this program won't even draw a one share. Pro wrestling is a silly institution from a by gone era that has no real following except from some losers with little to do on the weekends.   Billy Corgan obviously is one of these dudes who have nostalgic feeling Afro the popularity of WWF wrestling in the eighties and some how he thinks he can adapt modern day reality interest into the real life backstage drama of these dudes and women resistance wrestling outside the female wrestlers totally sucks and is not unlike any other boring small wrestling companies throughout this country that barely draw Hundred people crammed in some junior high gym. The problem with cable channels these days is they are so desperate to put out cheap programming and using these faded stars and what their associated with as an outlet for a hour of programming. AMC should be ashamed to have crap like a wrestling reality show on their broadcasts. Billy Crogan should just stick with his tea shop and bad music instead of allowing Cable networks to put out more bad programming.
