General Motors CEO Marry Barra on the hot seat

General Motors like most of corporate America are more concerned with preserving profits than say of their product. As an automobile company safety should be top priority but the recent failures of GM brought the new female CEO Mary Barra to sit before congress and answer some questions about her inept company. Ms Barra admitted that her company took too long to act on faulty ignition switches that killed dozens of drivers in a sort time span. Why anybody would continue buying a GM vehicle after all these mistakes and a decade to actually make a recall. This is pathetic and GM hopes people just ignore this issue and keep buying the big gas guzzling trucks and minivans clogging the suburban streets.
The faulty switches would stall while reaching a certain high sped shutting off the engine and making the vehicle totally uncontrollable GM didn't want to do a recall for this small part because of the labor costs they would have to procure to every owner of these afflicted automobiles. The sad thing is that GM and these other American companies should of been allowed to go under a few years ago as this industry refuses to make the imperative switch to smaller and more fuel efficient vehicles to move people about instead of these massive mini buses that clutter the roads. The automobile doesn't have much of a future as it is as these tech loving millenniums want nothing to dos with the suburbs and automobiles. It's further descent in the American cultural landscape will further hasten with the inept big three auto companies in America and shameful CEOs like Mary Barra who just mumble the same old company line in making excuses for their pathetic cheap operation of a major car company.
