Many books on vanishing tigers has been made for man to learn the bewildering wild nature of the true king of the forests. Tigers a strong beast disappearing ego rebut eyes its habit decreased to meet mans stupid ions needs of fuel woods and plant fodder plantations. The book "The Vanishing Tiger" made me mad made me sad as most of worlds Bengal tiger population survives in India where I imagine author Vivek Sinha hails from and writes. This book thou covers too much of the prey and fellow predators tiger share in game reserves in India and I want to read about tiger when I buy book not antelope or ruddy mongoose. An amazing book about an amazing creature gives me chills as I look at many pictures of this beautiful animal understanding many other animal spirits all saw this before their death. Nature works in funny ways and on more Earth some of the most beautiful creatures can be the most deadly killers known to exist and tiger is one of them. Then there are ugly creatures like ruddy mongoose that I hope never to see in the forests or zoos in my lifetime. The tiger evolved around two million years ago in Siberia and Northern China and most likely moves from its native habitats as prey became more sparse. Now it is the tiger becoming more sparse future ring grim by mans unrelenting cruelty and craziness. Thanks to projects such as project tiger though there is some hope that organized battles and a fight against all poaching can untimely preserve this species in few remote parts and get the dam Chinese to quit thinking tiger bones is a medicine. If China gave as much concern for the tiger they do with the panda there is little doubt this species would proliferate again. whether man gives this animals a chance or if the species is destined to become only a zoo attraction in the future is dependent on our ability to leave this animal alone in its habitat and stop the endless resource extraction on all corners of this planet.
