Indianapolis bar shooting not unexpected

A bump in downtown Indianapolis lead to a shooting of seven people last week in another example of this city going to shit really fast. Even in this popular trendy broad ripple neighborhood with many bars for youngsters to drunk and walk to other bars this shooting reflects the lack of respect and binge drinking culture we see in much of urban America. Somehow a guy bumped into another guy and fired into each other as both guys had guns and drew them out like the Wild West. This is what happens when you have like no economy to attract people except for bars and restaurants and this area of Indy has seen weekends crowd the public streets with loiters, beggars, and drunks. I definitely would avoid bar tending in areas such as the broad ripple neighborhood in Indianapolis where these shootings occurred and received relatively minor national news coverage outside of one day. This is a city that is experiencing much black crime and shootings and it should not come as a surprise seven people got shot out of a really popular club.I remember a time when Indianapolis seemed safe from these random shootings and this city is fast becoming the mini-Chicago it is starting to resemble more and more all of the time. You would never see these things occur at the Itasca Inn or other bar areas outside of popular down towns that attract to much of a shady urban element drawn out of their boring ghetto paradises in urban America. The gun culture mixed with a drinking one is a recipe for disaster and will produce a proliferous number of similar crimes that will get little play on through the corporate media that pushes the young into thinking only  a alcohol consuming lifestyle will generate the pleasuring and happiness needed living a duldrum daily life.
