An outraged Cougar Face calls Ken Mathews weekend Phildephia radio show

Herbert Gilbert
Runs like Cougar otherwise know as cougar face is an American Indian activist and writer here at the left Shark. most of his posts here nowadays are just book reviews but back in this blogs heyday this man was still fighting the Indian wars. he occasionally still as this active activism streak in him especially on the past of Native American names and logos still being used in sports. Cougar faceCougar was driving around the Rock river visiting some old archeological sites of the Sauk Indians when his car radio picked up a signal from Philadelphia. A little listened to weekend host on 1210 by the name of Kevin Mathews was mocking Adidas shoe company's attempts to encourage schools to change their Indian mascots at high schools around the country. The right wing host also was mocking how people were offended and going nuts through social media after the Washington Redskins twitter post had put up a happy Thanksgiving using the football racist logo of their sports franchise. Cougar called this fool immediately and demanded to be put on air this past Saturday. He went on to explain to this White host that the term Redskin was used back in the day not to honor native Americans but to instill some indignity and remind an individual of their second class status in early America. Runs like Cougar went on to praise the action of the Adidas shoe company for their role in ending native stereotypes with these degrading names that many high schools still have around the country. This host sounded like a punk but for a conservative right-wing show it was tolerable to listen and I have put up his show on the sidebar. Cougar went on to tell Mathews that thousands of schools have turned their names since more awareness of these degrading names came to account since the civil rights era and that eventually the wicked Daniel Snyder will be forced to end the name the Washington Redskins and have to change it to Washington Pigskins. cougar ended that this post was intended to create news and controversy from the arrogant folks at the Washington Redskins who gleefully wanted to remind fighters out there that they still had the nickname.
