UN report to eat more insects much needed

Gus Perkowski

For Insect lovers there is mixed feelings about the latest UN report to eat more insects for a nutritional balanced diet. In fact, I have often known about the taste and benefits of gorging on little crawly critters and as long as you are not over gorging in a bar contest you should be fine. I would avoid cockroaches too. In fact, the daily beast has an awesome article about which insect you should really consider. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/05/14/cicadas-grasshoppers-locusts-ants-among-the-tastiest-insects.html  "    Besides, they’re high in protein, vitamins, and minerals. Indeed, more than 2 billion people around the world already eat insects, but most Western countries have been slow to adopt the practice. The main problem? “Consumer disgust,” writes the agency.
This lies the problem. Westerners think they are too good for digesting insects. From the expanded waistlines of many people in North America they could probably eat more bugs and less cow. I personally recommend toasted cricket on graham crackers with a dash of cinnamon and red pepper. It is amazing how many people around the world get over there fear of eating certain creatures when a rumbling tummy is much more of a concern. So lets get at it fatsos. Eat less animals and more of the numerous objects God put on this earth for human consumption that is small and easy and economical.
