Perhaps there is no bigger jerk in sports than Mike Ditka. This guy only played a few lackluster seasons in Chicago and the Bears organization. He has used a few sucessful years to be one of the ultimate pitchmen and corporate sports figures to this day. This is important for men like him in an everending greed to keep a high rolling lifestyle continuing after his last complete failure of an NFL coaching job in New Orleans. His tenure as coach in Chicago was marred by inconsistency and underachieving teams and he only won one superbowl. He was fired because his temper and style were becoming an embarrassment for Bear management in the early nineties. Unfortunately, in Chicago this man is still revered and an icon at over seventy years old. This is a man who chased and beat the shit out of his brother as a teenager because he dropped a fly ball during a game. this is a guy who should not be admired or have achievements bestowed and his violent streak likely would of got him in trouble in life had it not been for sports. His number will be retired for the bears and hopefully in a few years or months the next accolade this man receives is at his wake.
