Another great progressive reads of work is"pity the Billionaire. Mr Frank writes about the collapse and how billionaires and their friends used their political leverage to save their lifestyle while the rest of society had to suffer and downsize. Mr Frank particularly goes after the rise of the right wing media and how they tried to hijack the crisis they helped create to help themselves politically. He particularly details Glen Beck throughout the book as his rise was pretty alarming when this book was written. Luckily people grew tired of Glen beck and he has been regulated in Internet isolation, but at the time I am sure Mr frank was besides himself how the hell beck rose as a spokesmen on the financial crisis.
Pity the Billionaire also looks at the last crash in 1929 and how things were done but then unraveled thanks to the awful Reagan revolution. In fact the Reagan years and his policies helped lead up to the 2008 crash as it helped spawn the other more minor crisis and bubbles throughout the years following the election of the worse president of the United States.Mr frank is another great speaker on the world tour talking about the evils of capitalism as it is practiced today from todays billionairies that are desperately trying to take away our civil liberties. To get a more unique understanding of rich people and how they operate destroying societies with their greed then this read is a certain must.
