Once again he was belittled and aced a combative host trying to be combative and disagree with much of what this great economics professor was trying to get out. Japan has faced this problem and is a main reason this island has not had any real growth for the past two decades. there is nothing more frustrating than trying to listen to a economist that knows it and has a corporate type host trying to interrupt and bring his theories down and for some reason they love to attempt this with the ever happy always smiling Laurence Kotlikoff. he seems to e an easy target from those economic conservatives who want to bring down any progressive tax changes that are desperately needed for this nation. Russ Robert's usually informative econtalk.com site needs to respect and give Laurence Kotlikoff full tie o speak without numerous superfluous interruptions. Kotlikoff is one of these academics warning about the destruction of government money printing will cause in the upcoming years. We need to get older people out of retirement and more into the economy using their wisdom helping expanding more affordable education and childcare activities making having children less of a burden to families. The generational costs older people are costing this nation from a continued free ride for twenty or thirty ears is a common theme Laurence brings up and needs to be discussed more.
