Everyone should be forced to sit in on and have an economic discussion with someone like Richard Wolff as their professor one time in their life. Richard Wolff says it as it is in his critique of corporations and their incentive to make life harder and miserable for every worker. In fact, everyone should have a discussion with Wolff and this is what David Barsamian does in the book "Occupy the Economy". This is a book that is all a question and answer segment with Richard Wolff that happened on the eve of the end of the occupy movement. Wolff talks everything about pension destruction, Mexican migration, myth of market supremacy, false lottery hopes, and underemployment insurance. Dr Wolff demands to know why the banks get bailed out and able to continue paying bonuses to underachievers who don't even know what the fuck they are doing in most cases while an economic and job crisis hit everyone else. His anger is revealed throughout this book as a third of the population is at record poverty levels while the rich get wealthier than ever before.
Corporations are the basic fundamental problem facing the world as the forces of globalization have done their best to abuse traditional life and created an instability that demands reaction. Only a few bright thinkers, teachers, and writers seem to keep bringing up this inequality and maybe it is finally catching on to the destruction created by the capital and "creative classes in the West and their crony partners around the world.
Wolff goes on to explain the capitalist system is a failure and the only reason it keeps going on is because the system has corrupted our politicians to letting them survive with our money and a great rush on the printing presses at the federal reserve and US treasury. If we all had access to this method of survival we would be leading high rolling, jet traveling, sushi eating, and a casino nightclubing life as well as the capitalist scam artists in this country who need to be dethroned from their high chair.
