The fight for Fifteen dollar wage is destroying libertarians and free-market thinkers all accross the country. Wealth in their eyes only belongs to those who already hold much of it and any imbalances is a threat to their prosperity and continuing upper incomes.in Seattle the lower income folks elected a socialist to the city council and Kshawa Sawant is leading the debate in the city for a living wage of fifteen dollars and hour. This is an improvment but fifteen dollars an our is hardly a great wage in an expensive city like Seattle.
The two party proletarians are really worried about this professor being elected and she is a rare occupy activist that actually went out there to help change the system. Ms Sawant became a socialist in life afte seeing the immense poverty in India while there was extreme wealth for a few. She has talked about how the city of Satyle has become too expensive for those without an engineering degree job and that the vas majority of residents are struggling. She has noted the. "economic extortion" that company's like Boeing hold over Seatle making demands for tax breaks so CEO s can take in more profits and get millions of more paid out bonuses for their arm twisting of our politicians.she has ripped Barack Obama and the Democrats as being little different from the wicked Republican Party in their patronizing and favoritism to the corporate classes. This former software engineer went against her career dreams to lead this political fight against the two party establishment that is owned by big money interests and has established a big voice in the Seattle area for human dignity and respect over corporations. This is what the fight for fifteen is all about and more cities will see candidates and more push against those who would enforce minimum wages while increasing the costs of living in these cities. All political leaders from the local level to national have been instrumental with increasing this unsustainable divide. What they need are moe whip assigns like what Ms Sawant gave to the Democratic Party establishment incumbent that is now jobless thanks to this great woman. It is pretty pathetic that it takes an immigrant to get off their feet and enter the political arena and run for change and social progress.
