I had went to Sheanigans Tavern and Liquor store about a month ago barhopping this place and several other bars in the immediate area of Kenosha is no Lincoln Park and this bar in particular I was pretty repulsed by for several reasons. In all my years as a bar journalist and attending the business of bartending I have never seen a drive thru bar.
This place really stood out and even inside the bar was full of so many douches and other sports maniacs and alcohol lovers I couldn't sojourn long in such a scummy bar and with such typical sports Wisconsinites.This was a bar I would never ever attend even if they had ten dollar hookers that looked like the typical ice girls at Chicago Blackhawk games. So needless to say I was not surprised to see there was a shooting in this bar where a young woman from Gurnee, Illinois was killed. An angry black man who was conned in some dice game a few hours earlier had returned with a gun and put some random shots at the bar.I mean when a bar like this in a mini ghetto has a driv- thru liquor window you can expect things like a dice game involving the regular patrons. When you have a crooked dice game along with a driv -thru window for hard alcohol shootings seem like they can be pretty common.ML Dale took off and eluded police for several days before he sobered up and realized what he did was wrong. Surprisingly no picture or even name of the female victim has yet been released as of this day and the crime occurred June 28th. Mr Dale will have plenty of time to play dice in the Kenosha County jail
Why such a scummy bar like this would be allowed to exist and blight the wonderful community of Kenosha, Wisconsin I will never really grasp and maybe someone will look into the idea of a bar that has a drive thru is something this struggling community really needs for its image.
