The gay and pride parade drew be million folks in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago and there is rumbling I. The community about not feeling safe when this event is being held. In fact the gay alderman in this district has heard the complaints from his constituency and asked for this parade to be moved to downtown. When a gay alderman such as Tom Tunney questions the future of this parade you know something is wrong In Denmark or in this case Lake view.
Many people with money have moved into this community and most of them are straight. The gay pride event for young people is an event that has gotten t big to be held where it is and brings many people from outside the area into it to get high and drunk on the public streets of Chicago. Tolerance can only go so long and the people are fed up with this event disturbing their weekend once a year and one has to wonder if safety concerns and security are also issues for moving this parade out of its small street locations. Maybe the whole concept of a gay parade tough is a losing effort and should just be renamed young gay pride. The whole movement based on sexuality usually excludes a large segment of the gay population I imagine given the nature of the existence of this minority group and the ageism that is part of their sub culture. This is an event and the homosexual agenda is basically a sexualized youth movement from men and women who will not be accepted as they were as they get older and fatter. What the ell kind of existence of a sub grouping is the homosexuality community. Most gays and lesbians are this way anyway as they would never get a partner of the opposite gender given their appearance whether its too manly women or Ultra skinny dudes with no concept of masculinity. The gay and lesbian parades in cities have gotten too big for their own good and really is just a political movement to show their unity with their inability or refusal to join mainstream people
