Jim Carey must be having a hard time. Waiting over a decade and a half to make the second movie for Dumb and Dumber is a clear indication that Carey is returning to a direction that rough toast success after years of making money duds on the silver screen. A young Jim Carey could make Dumb and Dumber work but one has to wonder if audiences really figure they need to see a middle age clown using the same antics from a movie during Jim Carey's heyday.
I doubt if movie goers will be this gullible and waste money on this corny remake that if done should of been created a few years after the hit Dumb and Dumber. I really think Jim Carey was embarrassed by this work even though it provided some good jingle into his bank account and this may be the only reason he agreed to do this again with Jeff Daniels. Why else would he have diverted his career into these roles that didn't follow a predicted trajectory that most of his fans would of desired back in the dayI haver witty much quit going to movies as your non- attending movie critic here at the Left Shark, but I have to admit I think I will drop ten bucks and actually see this movie at the theatre on an early weekday to avoid the dumb folks that actually go to movies. Dumb and Dumber pretty much sums up the Nick Dumgilio type movie lovers and addicts who pay so much money watching crap films these days in an industry that just continually pumps out a bad product for their propitious profits from a public that knows nothing better.
