Some three tons of cats were discovered recently in a truck from China that was being transported to Hanoi. The truck driver just said that all he knew that the cats were gong for consumption and whether this was to be in Vietnamese cafes is yet unknown. In Vietnam cat meat is a delicacy and goes for a high price despite the relative poverty if the country and the meat is referred to as "little tiger" and is commonly cut, sliced, diced, minced, chopped, and gritted usually in a soup or a batter of milk to be eaten with beer. The Vietnamese tradition of eating "little tiger" is a little sick and twisted and Vietnam officials buried and killed the confiscated cats as they do with all illegal smuggled products into the country. Three tons is an immense see size and the poor creatures who had t be slaughtered is a terrible consequence of the fucked up mentality and diet of these SouthEast Asian peoples and cultures. The government banns the sale of cat meat trying to get rid of this negative image and the rise of pets in Vietnam is finally occurring as many have to keep their cats and dogs indoors because of the flourishing attitude and thievery of many in this region that consider all meat necessary for profit and consumption. Despite the governments goals there are still hundreds of restaurants in Hanoi selling rats and cats and if you ever go there for a vacation you must make sure the standard of meat that is to be sold. The Vietnamese love all sorts of weird food and one is better off becoming a veggie if having to visit or live in this bizarre country. The demand for illegal cat meat trade in Vietnam reminds me n the monkey meat trade in Africa. It seems like there are still many parts of the world that needs to be civilized and told the animals that should be and not be eaten on the menu.
