Saturday Night Live celebrated forty years on the air this past weekend with a tree hour special rehashing the same lame old characters and plots of this has been program that was really last relevant since 1979.the show has pretty much sucked after the original cast left and I quit watching regularly in the late eighties occasionally catching updates of this awful program that refuses t go away changing its cast like a collegiate football roster. People who watch this
program regularly and frequently are losers who do t go out on Saturday nights with a real life and whose pathetic existence would be worse if television ever went away. People like my parents and old generations enjoy this program even though they have seen the same comedy sketches week in and week out and year in and year out. I often said years ago that this program will always be on Saturday Nights on NBC because networks would never be willing to do a change with an institution that they declare something like Saturday Night Live to be. 
This program is not an institution but just boring sketch comedy promoting silliness and none sense of pop culture with an adolescent surge for people who don't go out on the weekends. I never really checked the rates but surely no program can have very high ones for late nights on the weekends and anyone who thinks this program is something to be worked up about and special really has little going on in their own lives but to be in front of a television screen on the e night many have off and time to enjoy. Of the few discussions the few discussions I have seen about this anniversary special for this special program Apparently some people couldn't believe that Eddie Murphy was only on for a few seconds.. Perhaps with an anniversary program like this is what exposes the stupidity of some program that changes its cast every decade but remains on television for centuries which this cramp surely is to become. Young generations cold care less to see Eddie Murphy more known to them as some stupid clod who makes movies with animals. Those that remember what Murphy did for this program obviously were the ones complaining the most but having a fifty year old Murphy on more would accomplish nothing for this special as the young Eddie Murphy is long gone.
