Sam Harris was expecting much of a debate when he agreed to be on the extremely popular podcast from Dan Carlin. Sam Harris is a respected writer and atheist along with being a social critic one deserving of much admire and respect from media members. However he ran into one of the most cynical jack backs out there with Dan Carlin. Carlin is a guy who seems to suggest things to potential terrorists many times on his podcast with his disgruntled views on the US government and so forth. This is a guy who did eventually attract the US government and they invited him to be on the panel of a discussion of US policy as he was the only blogger invited to a black tie very prestigious event. They probably wanted to see the kook in person and some of the outrageous shit he seems to suggest to potential anarchists out there.
Harris was talking about the importance of bringing the medieval current Islamic world into a modern global secular world when cynical Carlin suggested who are we to think one worldview is more important. perhaps a Carlin should try setting up his podcast in Anijelieis Algeria, El Sanduihar, Egypt or some other remote rural backwater..backdesert spot in North African and the Middle East. Maybe then this jackass could see what Harris was talking about about liberating the m9nds and future souls away from an oppressive evil system that has survived all these millenniums because there was not a stronger power that decided to bring benevolent liberation from this snake oil faith that these people and future generations of their blood deserve to be free. Muslims todays who run things and are very stringent of this lifestyle often brag of being slaves to Allah and what these sorry sons of a bitches mean is they are slaves to an oppressive lifestyle a few want to enforce on everyone. The Islamic faith does not have nor did it ever have to be coincided with an Arab identity and only psychopathic conquerors and their descendent made this the case and any opposition from Arab and non-Arab was put to the sword. Cuckoo Carlin also stated something to the affect that these women that wear the headscarves often say they prefer and want to show their devotion to Islam and if Carlin thinks this thinking is free-will or wasn't regulated by their kinfolk then he is as stupid as he sounds sometimes on his podcast. 
I think because carkin is a big name and wants to get bigger sometimes if he has a major guest like Harris carlin tries to one up the person . The only thing he achieves is making himself sound like an idiot and pissing off his guest. I am sure Sam didn't care and likely went to get loaded at a bar and told his pals what an idiot interview he had with this clown. A interesting show and podcast nonetheless and it is good to hear Dan carlin have to debate with another person for once and not just have himself to ramble on abut things for an hour like most of his podcasts.
