As an eighties gamer and lover of video games I looked enthusiastically to the release of the movie Pixels some weeks ago. I was a bit disappointed to see it was starring Adam Sandler as I would never see a movie with this idiot in it yet I was curious to see what it would be about considering the video game theme of this movie. Pixels highlights most of the major great characters that propelled video games into such a cultural mainstream and love that lasts to this day but this is not enough to make this movie anything near resembling entertainment. This movie would of been more interesting if it just consisted of highlights of these games in a large screen because unfortunately just as I thought the jerk Adam Sandler brings this shit down. I cringe when I see this dumb much on the screen and vowed in 1998 never to see anything on a video screen that had his mug. Adam Sandler would make a great video game character though especially one that can be obliterated as part of the action and unfortunately you can't do this in the move theater observing this sorry shit of a movie. Pixels is a movie is a shrill and shallow movie that is so often made these days and it starves the viewer of any emotion, wit, or thinking. The only critical thinking while watching this is hope that a bowel movement comes so you have an excuse to get off that ass and make them one hundred steps to empty that popcorn and corndogs you purchases a half hour ago before the movie started. This movie is such shit and Adam Sandler's performance along with these sorry excuse of a cast is so bad it makes you wonder what you could of done better with the money you spent to step foot into this theatre. This Ghostbusters rip off comes nothing close to being a classic and one can leave this theatre assured that there will never be a sequel to this disaster that you had just witnessed. if you want to see these popular video games I recommend you skip this movie and just go to an old arcade if there happens to be one near you and we recommend you go to Galloping Ghost with your honey on a Saturday night instead of seeing this sorry shit of a Ghost busters wanabee movie
