Environmentalist activist Bill McKibben was on Chris Martenson's Peak Prosperity podcast and basically laid out the environmental degradation and destruction has bend e by our modern industrial society. McKibben says that the damage done has been much faster than scientists have been predicted decades ago. Bill went to mention the early stages we are seeing to irreversible climate change and he basically said there is no way we can continue civilization as we know it with projected temperature rise. He told Chris that we will not be ale just to move agriculture North as soil problems and shifts are not easily transferable. Both of these guys discussed how capitalism will to survive climate change and there is a disconnect with the political class that burning fossil fuels can continue as it has in the past with increased populations and stresses in the environment. Those who sit on the top of the oil, gas, and coal industries have used their resources and wasted billions fighting against what untimely will have to pass with renewable energies which will have to be implanted everywhere. McKibben talked about the importance of marketing expenditure to get more households and people to use solar thermal alternatives for home energy consumption and that those in charge of the fracking industry keep punish money into false propaganda of anti-renewable energies and their unlimited destructive underground polluting drilling abilities they have. Eventually the need for the pubic to rise up against the oil industry and the money they use in politics to keep the Carbon-burning methods in place that threaten all species on this planet. Bill Mckibben fighting against big money and forces trying to prevent us transitioning to a green technology and solar possibilities is fucking cool man and I hope he keeps sticking it to the fucking fracking industry.
